Trudon has collaborated with Maître Tseng to create a collection of three scented candles celebrating the world of tea and its five thousand years of history.
The founding idea of the Maître Tseng collection & Trudon collection was born from the imagination of the flow of water from the sky, enriched by elements from the earth. Reflecting this idea, this range of scented candles is expressed in three stages.
Yu Hui Tseng, from an ancient Chinese family and descendant of the first disciple of Confucius, represents both tradition and modernity in tea.
Maître Tseng spends most of her time in Asia with producers of exceptional teas. Over thirty years ago, she mounted her first expeditions along the ancient tea routes to remote regions and primary forests, where the precious leaves are harvested in extreme conditions. As vigilant as she is demanding, Maître Tseng orchestrates every stage in the elaboration of her teas.
The guardian of tradition, it is she who, in contact with the great figures of world gastronomy, has projected tea into the modern era. Personalities such as Alain Senderens and Pierre Gagnaire, fascinated by the precision and poetry of her perceptions, have accompanied her in the creation of tea and food pairings. In many ways, Maître Tseng revolutionized tea tasting, setting an example in Asia as well as in Europe.
Embodied by a mystical water with incense fragrances, the L'Esprit de L'Eau scented candle created by Benoist Lapouza combines a mineral accord, that of clear water gliding over mountain rocks, with woody notes of cedar and cypress, and spicy notes of pepper and juniper berry. L'Esprit de L'Eau illustrates loftiness of vision, purity, as the origin of its name in Chinese suggests: \"The Book of (the Dynasty) Song\" refers to the ascetic philosophy of that era, which sought in nature a source of inspiration for a spiritual life of solitude and elevation.
