4 centuries ago, in India, Emperor Shah Jahan fell madly in love with Princess Mumtaz Mahal. He created for her the marvellous gardens of Shalimar and dedicated to her the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This incredible tale fired the imagination of Jacques Guerlain who, in 1925, created Shalimar the first parfum oriental in history.
