4 centuries ago, in India, Emperor Shah Jahan fell madly in love with Princess Mumtaz Mahal. He created for her the marvellous gardens of Shalimar and dedicated to her the Taj Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This incredible tale fired the imagination of Jacques Guerlain who, in 1925, created Shalimar the first parfum oriental in history.
Jacques Guerlain dares to use a brand-new gourmet molecule, ethylvanillin, combined with Jicky's accord. Overwhelmed by this deliciously carnal creation, which he reworked day and night, he already knew he was on the road to a \"small revolution\", that of the first pure oriental.
