JOSEPHINE SCENTED CANDLE
CIRE TRUDON invites us for a stroll through the famous gardens of CHÂTEAU DE MALMAISON.
The soft light of dawn pours over the flower beds. A light shadow scurries through the roses, camellias and irises. With her green thumb, JOSEPHINE awakens the shimmering scents of the garden for her imperial fate.
JOSEPHINE de BEAUHERNAIS acquired the CHÂTEAU DE MALMAISON in 1799 when her husband NAPOLEON BONAPARTE fought in the distance in the Egyptian campaign. She spent a fortune to renovate the castle, which was later occupied by the French government as its headquarters. Her love of flowers, plants and animals led her to create one of the greatest gardens in Europe. Her longing was to create "the most beautiful and interesting garden in Europe, an example of good horticulture".
Maison TRUDON keeps the secret of making their unique scented candles. A wax mass made from vegetable ingredients forms a special mixture, which guarantees a perfect development of the fragrances and a soot-free burning. Each fragrance looks back on a historical moment in French history and brings light into the darkness of these legends.
