Guy Laroche the great French couturier and designer, founded his couture house in Paris in 1957. At the time, he was known for his daring style, characterized by bright colors and extravagant shapes, and modernized couture by making it sleek and comfortable to wear. A fragrance license was signed with the l'Oréal group in 1965, under which he launched the iconic parfum for men: Drakkar Noir

Le parfum for men Drakkar Noir represents \"the gentle violence of a parfum of a man\". Combining strength and seduction, the parfum pour homme Drakkar Noir is presented in a simple, minimalist bottle. Tinted black in homage to masculinity, it takes the form of a square with rounded corners, embodying a man who is both virile and sensitive. Laroche cultivates the image of the bad boy, an adonis with a muscular body, bare-chested under a burning leather jacket.

Launched in 1982, the olfactory composition of Drakkar Noir was created by perfumer Pierre Wargnye. A typically masculine creation, the fragrance falls into the aromatic category. The parfum pour homme Drakkar Noir opens with top notes of rosemary, basil, verbena and lavender, giving it an invigorating freshness typical of eaux de Cologne of the period. The heart has a spicy character with cinnamon, combined with the peppery scent of juniper and coriander, which adds a touch of green to the whole. Finally, the fragrance Drakkar Noir ends on a base of aromatic and present notes of patchouli, vetiver, oakmoss, cedar and pine, giving the fragrance a warm, sporty scent.
