In 1948, designer Marcel rochas asked master perfumer Edmond Roudtniska to create a more modern version ofeau de Cologne The parfum Eau de Roche for women was born. In 1970, Marcel's wife Rochas Hélène Rochas paid tribute to her late husband by naming the parfum after his name. Indeed, its original name, Eau de Roche, evokes water trapped in rock, which gushes out when the bottle is opened. The parfum for women features a transparent bottle in striated glass, resembling a piece of rock eroded by water. The cabochon takes the form of a ball evoking a drop of water, or a precious stone. Launched in 1970, l'eau de toilette Eau de Rochas for women has an aromatic, citrusy fragrance. At the time, Hélène Rochas called on perfumer Nicolas Mamounas to create the olfactory composition of the fragrance parfum The result was a cult fragrance that has remained unchanged ever since. The fragrance ofEau de Rochas opens with top notes of bergamot, lemon, mandarin and verbena. At once sweet and tangy, citrus provides a sensation of elegant freshness. Next, the heart note features a floral bouquet organized around the scents of narcissus, rose and jasmine. Finally, the base of parfum expresses the aromatic character of parfum with a trail of oakmoss, white musk, vetiver and sandalwood.
